Experience Bergen from a new perspective. Forget the fear of bad weather, because here you are guaranteed a completely raw experience regardless of weather conditions!
Just down by the fjord in Askøy you will find one of Norway's few domes. The weather in Bergen is quite often crazy, but with the solid tent that stands on the rocky mountain, nothing but a raw experience awaits you! When it rains, the drops shoot into the transparent canvas and out again into the sky like a shooting star. The days of fine weather add an extra wow effect to the already incredible landscape. Every season has its charm in this place and the concept gives glamping a new meaning. We describe our concept with: FEEL THE FJORD!
At Arctic Dome Fjords you can come either if you want to combine a big city weekend with relaxation or if you simply want to escape from everyday life and experience the tranquility the place has to offer. Nature, tranquility and fresh air provide a good starting point for creating balance in body and soul.
It's not often you get the opportunity to get so close to nature, and still keep the luxury you want on a stay when you want to enjoy yourself a little extra. Here you get the best of both worlds. You also meet "the little extra" wherever you go. Nice messages on small patches that are pasted here and there, interiors that are home-carved with old objects from the lake house and fishing nets that decorate the walls. These are just a few of the many thoughtful details that make their mark on the site. It's like going back in time, while maintaining the standard of today's expectations.
If you stay a few more days in the Dome you will not get bored. There are many opportunities for activities and excursions, both with the host as a guide and on their own. You can rent a kayak or electric scooter and explore the surrounding area. Trips to various destinations can be arranged, including Ulrikken and Fløyen. Fishing is also a great experience offered to the guests of the Dome. Otherwise you can always enjoy the evening in front of the campfire and enjoy the heat or enjoy a meal in the charming sea house.
At sunset, it becomes a completely magical atmosphere whether you are inside the dome or outside in the fresh air. If the weather is good, you can sit on the bench at the extreme end of the mountain and just take in the impressions. If it is raining you can sit inside the dome, look out at the beautiful sky and hear the rain hammering on the canvas. Enjoy that the sounds of traffic chaos and large crowds are replaced with ripples and bird droppings.
When evening comes and you put your head on the pillow to sleep, you look straight up at the starry sky. You can rest your eyes on «Big Dipper» until you fall asleep. The natural daylight wakes you up again in the morning with the most beautiful view right in front of you. Take a few rolls of fishing rod before breakfast and start the day. This place just has to be experienced, it is an experience of a lifetime!
