By bus: An approx. 30-min. bus trip on bus numbers 450 from Bergen bus station to Søre. Get off at the bus stop Tellnesskogen, where the road to the fortress starts. Follow the 3-km road from the stop until you get to the fortress. The road is signposted, and takes around 30 minutes on foot. For up-to-date bus timetables, see: www.skyss.no. Public transport by bus to the museum is included in the Bergen Card.
By car: The drive takes approx. 30 minutes. Follow the Rv 555 road from Bergen to Sotra for around 20 minutes, before turning left at the roundabout and follow the Rv 555 road to Fjell/Tellnes. After 10 minutes, you get to the road that takes you to Fjell Fortress. Free parking at the fortress. The road up to the fortress is signposted, and takes around 30 minutes on foot.
