Experience the magnificent landscape along the Hardangerfjord on a day trip to Vøringsfossen waterfall - the most famous waterfall in Norway!
On this tour you get to experience the magnificent landscape in Hardanger up close. Among the highlights of the tour are Steinsdalsfossen Waterfall, the Hardangerfjord, the National Tourist Road between Jondal and Utne and the spectacular Vøringsfossen Waterfall.
The tour starts by minibus from the Tourist Information in Bergen, and the first stop is one of Norway's most visited waterfalls, Steinsdalsfossen in Norheimsund. Steinsdalsfossen has a drop of 50 meters, and you can walk behind the waterfall and experience it from the "inside". An excellent photo opportunity!
From Norheimsund we continue to Tørvikbygd where we will take the ferry across the Hardangerfjord to Jondal. We now enter a part of Hardanger where the road is surrounded by apple trees. The road between Jondal and Utne is designated as a National Tourist Route, which means that this stretch of road is perceived as a unique drive through beautiful Norwegian nature.
From Utne we return with the ferry across the Hardangerfjord to Kvandal and continue towards Norway's longest suspension bridge Hardangerbroen. Driving across the bridge there is a great view, and when we have crossed we continue our journey to the Norwegian Nature Center in Eidfjord. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the center and time to have lunch.
After lunch, it's time for the highlight of the trip, Vøringsfossen. Vøringsfossen is the most famous waterfall in Norway, and has a drop of an impressive 182 meters. From the viewing platforms you will have a panoramic view of the waterfall, and you can also choose to get even closer by crossing the newly built bridge above the waterfall. On our way back to Bergen we drive through Voss. Voss is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and white water rivers, and is famous for extreme sports of all types. We make a short stop at Voss before we continue towards Bergen.
There will be an English-speaking guide on the trip.
