Get to know Bergen!
You are here: Plan Your Event Pre & Post tours Half & Full Day Program
The best way to get to know Bergen is to start with its history. You and your group can experience the city in an active way by having a guided trip in the city with the help of either a digital GPS game, segway or bicycles. Get to know Bergen and learn the unique historical UNESCO site Bryggen, the charming narrow alleys in the old wooden houses of Bergen, the fish market, the city of culture etc.

Follow up with lunch at one of Bergen's mountain top restaurants with a breath-taking view of Bergen! At Mount Fløyen you can enjoy a spectacular view and have your lunch in fresh air in the woods or by the lake. There is also a restaurant by the funicular station, Fløien Folkerestaurant, with a capacity of 250 peple in one room or 400 people in the whole building. Mount Fløyen is also a perfect base for activities like hiking, team-building activites or just recreation. To get to Mount Fløyen you can either walk (ca. 40 minutes) or take the funicular - Fløibanen - which only takes 6 minutes and has a capacity of 70 people in one of the two funiculars (trains).
At the highest mountain of the famous seven mountains surrounding Bergen, Mount Ulriken, you can experience a fantastic panoramic view at 643 meters above sea level. To get to the top you can take the Ulriksbanen Cable Car (capacity per cable car is 50 people). Combine lunch at the restaurant with soft or extreme team-building activities such as hiking, zipliner, etc.

Afterwards you can either choose to continue with team-building activities at the mountain top, or explore the city of culture and one of Bergen’s many composer homes. We recommend a private concert at the internationally known composer Edvard Grieg’s home at Troldhaugen. Here you can sit in his livingroom and listen to his great work at the piano (max capacity 40 people / or 180 people in the concert hall by his house at Troldhaugen).
In the evening we suggest to end a beautiful day with a dinner at one of Norway’s best seafood restaurants; Cornelius Restaurant, a 30 minute beautiful boat ride from Bryggen to a small island where the restaurant is located.
