You are here: Venues Bergen Airport Combine a conference in Bergen with activities
The conference hotels in Flesland are just 20 minutes from Bergen city center. This makes it easy to combine conference and accommodation with a trip to the city and activities in the area.
Here are some suggestions for activities for small or large groups during the conference at Bergen Flesland.
Amazing boat trip and seafood experience
Bring your conference group and experience a wonderful boat trip in the archipelago from Bryggen in Bergen to Cornelius Seafood Restaurant. The restaurant is located on an islet with spectacular views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. Cornelius is open all year long and adapts both the seating and the menu to the weather. Do not miss the shellfish talk - a fun and educational start to any event. The lecture contains the story of Cornelius combined with a good portion of humor.

Great views of the city
Bergen's seven mountains offer many possibilities and trips in varied terrain. Take the Fløibanen funicular or the Ulriksbanen cable car to enjoy views of Bergen from above - with sea, archipelago, fjord and mountains. For the extra daring ones it is possible to take a ride on Ulriken at high speed across the hill on a zipline!

Cultural experiences at Bryggen
Bergen has many different museums and galleries, and a conference at Bergen Flesland can include a look back to Bergen during the Hellenic era. The Hanseatic Museum is located on Bryggen and is one of the oldest and most preserved buildings in Bergen. Here you learn how the Hanseatic merchants in Bergen lived and traded trawls and grains hundreds of years ago. On the other side of Bryggen lies the Schøtstuene, next to St. Mary's Church. These were meeting rooms for the Hanseatics in the winter, and the museum consists of three meeting rooms, as well as a firehouse.
Sightseeing on two wheels
Do you want to experience Bergen in a slightly different and exciting way during the conference? The segways take you almost everywhere, and it's a great and unique way to see the city. The various segway sightseeing tours show you different parts of the city, and you can drive through Bergenhus Festning, Fisketorget, Nordnesparken, between several of Bergen's narrow alleys and up to great viewing points. Perfect after a long day of conference.
Experience Bergen from the sea
What about taking an amazing boat trip on the fjord with your conference group? Hop on a two-hour fjord cruise in the sailboat 'First Player' and experience Bergen from the sea side. The trip goes from Vågen to Nordnes and Puddefjorden. Along the way, the captain will talk about the city, the fortifications and the shipyards. Drinks and light snacks are served on the boat trip.
Take a fjord cruise with "First Player" to see Bryggen and Bergen from another angle.
