Bergen is an easy destination to get to for your participants, whether they are travelling from Norway, Europe or even further away.
Bergen is easy to get to via direct routes from hubs such as London, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Flights from these airports to Bergen takes 2 hours or less. Flight time from destinations such as Stockholm, Paris, Aberdeen, Manchester, Gothenburg and Billund is also 2 hours or less. Check out the list of direct flights to Bergen.
In addition to the large number of direct flights to Bergen, there are more than 30 flights daily between Oslo and Bergen, making it even easier to connect your flight to Bergen from anywhere in the world.

Make the most out of your conference and include the travelling as a part of the conference experience. The train from Oslo to Bergen is Northern Europe's highest railway and includes some of the most beautiful landscapes in Norway.
The Bergen Railway (called Bergensbanen) is also well suited as a means of transportation for your Norwegian participants who want to travel environmentally friendly, or would like to work during the journey.

If you travel by car, Bergen is easy to get to, regardless of whether you’re driving from Trøndelag, Eastern Norway, Southern Norway or Rogaland. If bus is your preferred mode of transportation, you have several options. And along the coast you can travel to Bergen by boat on the coastal routes.
With eco-friendly ships from Fjord Line, you can travel daily from Hirtshals in Denmark to Bergen. The ship leaves Hirtshals in the evening and you arrive Bergen the following day in the afternoon. The journey is mostly in inshore waters along the coast of Norway and you get fantastic views of the passing landscape. Fjord Line also makes a stop in Stavanger along the way, so if you are a domestic traveller, you can board in Stavanger and enjy the five and a half hour journey to Bergen.
Bergen is a hub for the whole of western Norway, with a well-developed network of public transport. We experience frequently that conferences/congresses and events held in Bergen have a larger number of attending participants. One of the reasons being that Bergen is easy to get to.
Bergen has a compact city center. This means that the participants in your event can easily walk back and forth between the hotel and the conference / congress location during the day, and between the hotel and the location for the social events in the evening. This reduces the need for transfer services significantly. Which reduces your costs while also reducing the impact of the event on the environment.
If your goal is to conduct efficient meetings only a short distance from Bergen Airport Flesland, there are 6 large conference hotels with modern facilities in the area surrounding the airport. 3 of these are within walking distance of the airport, while the remaining 3 are only a short trip away on the Bergen Light Rail.
