Olaskjeret is a small islet in Bakkasundet, located in Austevoll municipality outside Bergen. New and modern houses have been built on the remnants of what once was a significant workplace in the fishing industry. The hosts offer comfortable and family-friendly facilities for accommodation and events, along with outdoor activities in an environment that is a paradise for boating and fishing.

Kvitanaustet (The White Boathouse) and Raudanaustet (The Red Boathouse), as well as a marquee, are available for various types of events. Kvitanaustet is suitable for smaller groups up to 25 people. Raudanaustet can accommodate groups of up to 60 people, while the marquee can host up to 180 people. For larger groups, having multiple venues available provides greater flexibility.

Raudanaustet:

With high ceilings, illuminated by beautiful chandeliers, Raudanaustet is ideal for courses, conferences, anniversaries, or other events. The grindworks in the walls is a reminder of a bygone era, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The space is elegantly furnished with dining sofas, chairs, and tables, and can be set up for 60 people. The venue can be booked for events during daytime as well as in the evenings.

Kvitanaustet:

Kvitanaustet is suitable for smaller courses, conferences, anniversaries, or other events, accommodating up to 25 people.

Kvitanaustet is brightly and tastefully decorated. The living space is open and spacious, featuring a kitchen, dining area, and comfortable sofas, all available for you and your group. Kvitanaustet also offers overnight accommodations with four bedrooms (eight beds).

Marquee:

If you're planning a larger event, we recommend booking the marquee at Olaskjeret. Regardless of weather conditions, you are guaranteed an unforgettable venue for the celebration in a 216 square meters quality tent with banquet chairs, tables, chandeliers, and heating.

The hosts at Olaskjeret can tailor events for both businesses and leisure, and are only happy to assist you in creating the perfect setting for your event. The marquee tent is only available in the summer.

Olaskjeret is an idyllic archipelago paradise suitable for holidays, corporate or private events. In the beatiful surroundings Olaskjeret offers a wide range of activities, including team building, fishing trips, boat trips, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking. Take a refreshing swim on the private beach or gather around the bonfire.

How to get to Olaskjeret:

By Boat:
Dock your private boat at Olaskjeret's pier.

By Car:
From Bergen Airport Flesland, it's a 25-minute drive to Krokeide ferry terminal. From Bergen city center, it takes approximately 35 minutes. After a 35-minute ferry ride, drive 15 minutes from Hufthammar to Bakkasund. Coordinate the 1-minute boat trip to Olaskjeret in advance, with a boat capacity of 12 passengers per crossing.

Boat Taxi:
Opt for a boat pickup at your preferred location, including Bergen city center or Hjellestad pier (for plane arrivals).

Express Boat:
Scheduled boats from Bergen city center (50 minutes) or Flesland pier (30 minutes) pass through Huftahammar ferry terminal. Pick-up at Hufthammar ferry terminal by car or boat, with a 15-minute journey to Olaskjeret.

Helicopter:
Arrange helicopter transport well in advance if preferred.
