The Ulriken Cable Cars take you to the highest of Bergen’s seven mountains, called Ulriken. From its top you can enjoy the spectacular views over Bergen and its surroundings.
Ulriken643 reopened in October 2021 with Norway's largest cable cars! The Ulriken Cable Cars will then have triple capacity and be in operation all year round. The new cars have been built and installed by the world's largest cable car developer, Doppelmayr Garaventa. These cars can better withstand the weather, they run faster and in a silky smooth manner.
Restaurant SkySkraperen at the top have doubled their capacity to 170-180 guests in the main restaurant and opened a large new meeting and banquet room for 25-30 guests on the lower level. The outdoor seating area will also be expanded, and both guests and hikers will have more restroom facilities. From next year, there will be year-round operation of the restaurant, which until now has been closed between autumn holidays and Easter. The new cars will also eliminate much of the uncertainty that has been associated with wind conditions.
