Be sure to allocate enough time to explore this beautiful region in the heart of the fjords. We often hear visitors say they wish they could have stayed longer. So plan ahead, book that extra night, and make sure there is enough time to explore all that the city and region has to offer.
Do you want a room with an ocean view, and be woken up by the sound of the waves and the seagulls in the morning? Then try a close to nature experience by staying in a lighthouse. Villa Lokøy is an excellent choice for groups of up to 14 people seeking luxury and privacy. Whether you prefer the host's arrangement of various activities or simply wish to unwind and bask in the splendor of the villa and its natural surroundings, this haven is conveniently located just 35 minutes outside Bergen.

Bergen Børs Hotel, previously the Bergen Stock Exchange building combines history and modern scandinavian decor, and is also home to the restaurant BARE by Chef PAK. and trendy Handelskammeret bar. Across the road you can stay in Opus XVI, aEdvard Grieg Heritage Hotel run by the famous composer Edvard Grieg’s relatives, which is also a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World
For tranquility just outside the city center, Solstrand Hotel & Bad is a truly wonderful place with SPA facilities and outdoor swimming pool overlooking the fjords.

Bergen is a World Heritage City and right in the heart of the city is the old harbor area and UNESCO World Heritage Site Bryggen. Bryggen is a must to visit when in Bergen and has several museums, restaurants and galleries.

At Bryggen, you can also find several places to stay like the Hanseatic Hotel (Det Hanseatiske Hotell) with its charming 37 unique rooms and Radisson Blu Royal Hotel.
Stay in a small and intimate hotel close to all the major attractions in the city center. Hotel Oleana is centrally located with individually designed rooms, inspired by the Bergen violin virtuoso and composer Ole Bull. The building dates back to 1926, and has been converted into a modern hotel with the old features preserved.

If your group requires a large number of rooms, then the hotels by the airport are often a popular choice. The Quality Hotel Edvard Grieg only 5 minutes drive from the airport offers 373 rooms in total. Read more about airport hotels here.
Scandic Ørnen is one of Bergen's largest hotels with 368 spacious, bright and modern rooms and is centrally located by the Grieg Hall. Thon Hotel Orion close to Haakons Hall and Bryggen is another good alternativ as well as Magic Hotel Solheimsviken with 217 rooms in total.
Staying in a hostel or self catering apartment is a social and affordable option when visiting Bergen. At HI Bergen Youth Hostel Montana you have the great hike up Mount Ulriken right at your doorstep, and getting to the city center only takes you about 10-15 minutes by bus.

In the city center Ole Bull Hotel & Apartments offer well equipped high standard apartments, right in the heart of Bergen nightlife.
Outside the city center you can also find cabin rentals (or rorbu as it is called in Norwegian) located right by the sea.
