Forty minutes from Bergen, on a bare coastal rock, lies Lilløy Lindenberg - a soulful hideaway off the beaten path. Strictly speaking, not a hotel, but it is definitely boutique and exclusive enough to be mentioned in this context.
The house on the island has been beautifully restored, with a main building and a smaller, cosy annex. Life moves at a slow pace here, and the hosts focus on art and food. Artists are regularly invited to the island to disconnect from noise and find inspiration in the nature and local ingredients. Lilløy Lindenberg has four bedrooms with a total of twelve beds.
