In Bergen you can visit several museums outside of opening hours. KODE, Arven and Oleana Economusee can all accommodate visits to their museums outside of opening hours for private groups.
-KODE has an extensive collection of art and design on display in their four buildings in the city centre. Masterpieces by Edvard Munch, Nikolai Astrup, Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, J. C. Dahl and “the Silver Treasure” are only some of the works. KODE can also arrange private concerts in the homes of three of Bergen's greatest composers – Edvard Grieg, Ole Bull and Harald Sæverud.
-At the silverfactory Arven you can experience some of the city's best gold - and silversmiths at work, creating precious metal into true pieces of art. At Arven you can also buy their unique products; all jewellery, pieces of interior design and silver cutlery are hand-made and manufactured on the premises.
-Learn more about the enchanting and colorful Oleana sweaters at Oleana Économusée. Follow the production process from yarn to finished product in their factory, located in historic buildings by the fjord in Ytre Arna, birthplace of the West Coast textile industry in 1846. You can stop by their factory store afterward, the only place which carries the whole exclusive Oleana collection. A visit to Oleana Economusee is part of the wool route, where you can explore the history of wool production in the Bergen region and visit modern fashion houses that sell Norwegian-made knitwear to the whole world.
