If you choose to stay in a hotel in the city center, you have easy access to attractions and nightlife. Bergen's compact city center means that you have walking distance to all major attractions such as Bryggen, the Fish Market, the Fløibanen funicular and the Bergen Aquarium.

As the closest neighbour to the Hanseatic Museum & Schøtstuene you will find the sophisticated Det Hanseatiske Hotel with its exquisite and stylish rooms.
If you are attending or hosting a conference or event at the Grieg Hall, you can walk to most hotels in Bergen city center within 5 or 10 minutes. As the closest neighbour to the Grieg Hall you will find the elegant Grand Terminus next to the train and bus station and Scandic Ørnen with modern large and bright rooms.
Hotels outside Bergen in beautiful surroundings:
If you choose to stay in southern Bergen or nearby in Os, the airport and attractions such as the Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen and Fantoft Stave Church are not far away. Not to mention all the bargains to be found at the big Lagunen shopping centre. If you like a special treat try the beautiful Solstrand Hotel & Bad at Bjørnefjorden, half an hour from Bergen.
If you choose to stay north of Bergen in Nordhordland, on one the islands west of Bergen or beside one of the nearby fjords, you will have fantastic coastal and fjord scenery near at hand all year round.
If you are staying outside the city center you can travel free from your hotel to the city center and the Bergen region using the Bergen Card. (At the Airport bus the Bergen Card gives you a discounted price). You can book your Bergen Card in a digital format and activate the card when you want to start using it.
