Great streets for shopping in Bergen city center:
Get off the Bergen Light Rail at the last stop Byparken, you will find yourself right in the heart of Bergen’s major shopping district. The area around Torgallmenningen (square) is a great place to start with several interesting side streets to explore.
Strandgaten is also a popular shopping street, offering a variety of shoes, clothes, and interior items. Parts of Strandgaten are for pederstrians only, as is Marken, close to the railway station. If you're looking for souvenirs or typical Norwegian products, you'll find them at Bryggen. Unique art and jewelry designs await you as you explore one of the many narrow alleyways at Bryggen.
If you are looking for vintage and second hand shops, they are mostly located in the smaller side streets.
Shopping centers in Bergen:
Next to the Bergen Railway and Bergen Buss station you will find Bergen Storsenter with stores within all categories. At Høyer you find the famous fashion brands like Moncler, Toteme, Zimmermann, Acne Studios, Polo Ralph Lauren, Stone Island and Holzweiler. There are also several big shopping centres just a short drive outside of Bergen. With over 65 fashion stores the Lagunen Storsenter is the biggest shopping mall in the Bergen region with a total of 180 shops, restaurants and other outlets. At Lagunen they also offer a personal shopper who joins you on a shopping spree, giving you hints and ideas on how to fill your closet with clothes making you look like a million dollars!

General opening hours:
The shopping centers are open Monday to Friday 9-21, Saturday to 18.
The smaller shops are mostly open 10-16, some 17, Saturday to 15 or 16.
In Norway almost all shops are closed on Sundays, with the exception of a few souvenir shops and a few small supermarkets.
