Highlights

There are tons of highlights in Bergen this year with concerts, festivals and events all year round.

There is something for everybody to enjoy and for all tastes. Bergen is well known for its art and music scene, which provides a good base for up and coming musicians and artists. Many of the artists who started playing at the local scenes in Bergen are now international stars. The city's good musical and artistic reputation also attracts stars from all over the world to Bergen.

Bergen is also a great festival city and grabs any and every opportunity to start one. With food festivals, blues festivals, jazz festivals, beer festivals and many other festivals, there is every chance of experiencing Bergen at its best.

Bergen has also become a great place for humor and stand up. Regularly world famous comedians regularly perform at Grieghallen.

If you rather want to be active, put on your running shoes and join the marathons like The Great Fjord Run or Bergen City Marathon, do the bicycle race Bergen-Voss or do the Seven-mountain hike over the mountains surrounding Bergen. All very good opportunities to push yourself and experience the good atmosphere in Bergen at the same time.

When Christmas time comes around don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful voice of Kurt Nilsen in the Grieg Hall or one of many other Christmas events and concerts giving Bergen its unique Christmas atmosphere.
