Grand Terminus is a classic, and yet modern hotel, located in the centre of Bergen, Norway. New owners have revived what was once the city's most luxurious and elegant hotel when it opened in 1928. Grand Terminus is centrally located close to several parking garages, railway, airport shuttle, light rail and local and regional buses. We also have 10 bikes for free rental. The Fish Market and Torgalmenning is only a 5-minute walk away. The Grieg Hall and the Light Rail are also nearby.
At Grand Terminus our guests can choose between different rooms. Our Standard single rooms (10-15 sqm) and Standard double rooms (14-20 sqm) feature free internet access, WC with a bathtub or shower, a writing desk, chair(s), telephone with direct inward calling system, cable-TV, pay-TV, and a hair dryer. All rooms also have a minibar. The double rooms are newly furbished with quality furniture.
Our Triple rooms (20-30 sqm) are large rooms with possibilities of an extra bed. Amenities such as: free internet access, WC with a bath tub or shower, a writing desk, chair(s), telephone with direct inward calling system, cable-TV, hair dryer and a minibar.
Lastly, our upgraded large Deluxe rooms (20-30 sqm) have amenities such as a flatscreen TV, armchair, a writing desk, a seating arear, WC with a bathtub and heating in the floor, and most of the rooms also have original chandeliers from 1928.
The rooms have been renovated with attention to style and character. The Terminus Hall, as well as the smaller conference and meeting rooms have gone through careful and thoughtful face lifts.
Our good kitchen serves a generous breakfast buffet, and exciting and fresh lunch buffet, informal Tapas dinners, and grand feasts with 4 or 5 courses. On warm summer days the guests can dine in the garden.
Grand Terminus has the characteristic Whisky Bar, where there's an open fire, oak walls, and seven meters under the ceiling. The rich selection of whisky is of course supplemented by whatever the guest desires. It's a great place to both start and end your evening.
