The Bergen Light Rail line number 1 (between Bergen airport and the city center) and line number 2 (between the city centre and Fyllingsdalen) is also free. Please note: the Bergen Card includes local buses (Skyss) and the Light Rail (Bybanen) in Vestland county. It is NOT valid on VY trains, express coaches and regional boat routes and ferries. (only boats zone A)
When ordering the Bergen Card, you will receive an email with a link to your Bergen card/cards. When you would like to start using the card, you click on the button to activate the card. The card will start to count down and you can check how long it is valid for at any time. You only need to be connected to the internet when activating the card. For the rest of the time the card is valid, you can be offline.
Please note that you don't have to have the actual Bergen Card in hand when booking all products that offer a discount with the Bergen Card. You do however need to have the Bergen Card in hand when doing the actual tour or activity which you have booked with a Bergen Card discount.

If you have bought a digital Bergen Card, follow these steps to buy your discounted tickets for the funicular:
Enter the unique reference code found in your digital Bergen Card. The code is case-sensitive, so we recommend copying and pasting it to ensure accuracy.
Please note that your Bergen Card must be activated before you can buy funicular tickets.
If you have a non-digital Bergen Card, you can purchase discounted funicular tickets at the Tourist Information or at the funicular ticket office at the lower station.
