In this video, we travel to Osterøy, a beautiful island near Bergen, Norway, to hike the famous Kossdalssvingane. Along the way, we’ll be meeting up with friends to explore the hidden gems of this Green Island. We start our journey in Bergen, known for its stunning fjords and rich history, before heading to Osterøy. This is where we'll experience the charm of a local brewery, the castle-looking hotel on the fjord, and the serene beauty of the winding Kossdalssvingane trail. The tour between Mount Ulriken and Mount Fløyen is one of the most popular tours in Bergen, Norway. You can start and end your trip by taking Ulriken Cable Car or Fløibanen funicular. Between these two beautiful mountains you can see the fjords and islands around Bergen. On a clear day you can enjoy the view to Folgefonna glacier.
The hike takes about 5 hours and can be done the whole year, but we recommend between May and October, unless you are skiing across!

Bergen is surrounded by 7 mountains. Mount Ulriken is the highest at 643 meters above sea level. At Ulriken you can enjoy the spectacular view of Bergen and the surrounding fjords and islands.
During the summer half of the year you can take the Ulriken Express bus from the city center to the Ulriken Cable car. During winter you can take a local bus.
On top of Mount Ulriken there is a restaurant which offers local food with a modern twist! It is really worth a visit and popular amongst locals and visitors!
On top you can also try the cool Zipline! It is one of the fastest in Norway and lots of fun!

Walking down from Mount Fløyen is a popular walk which you can do all year round. Take the Fløibanen Funicular from the city center to the top of the mountian. The walk down takes about 40 minutes and you end up back where you started!
