Visit the troll woods, rent a rowing boat or balance on a line in the city park Nygårdsparken. These are just some of the outdoor activities that await children in Bergen!
Take the Fløibanen funicular to the end stop at mount Fløyen and explore all the exciting activities for kids to do in nature! Try the many slides, swings and jungle gyms in the colorful playground.

Visit the exciting Troll Forest close by, with troll figures who do not mind being climbed on. Be the first one through the obstacle race and play games on the field Fløysletten.

Fløysletten has barbeques that can be used for free, so pack your bag for a outdoor lunch. There are also many nice hikes you can take from Fløyen, including a trip to Brushytten or around the lake Skomakerdiket.
There are also exciting outdoor activities for the children in the city center of Bergen! Bring your family to Bryggen to experience the history of the city up close, in the area dating back to the year 1070. Walk through the narrow streets and see the crooked houses.

Move on to the Fish Market and look for lobster and sea crabs in the saltwater tanks, a fun thing to do while in Bergen.

At the Norwegian Fisheries Museum you can hire a rowing boat and see the beautiful harbor and the surrounding area. You can borrow life jackets, oars and the equipment needed or the trip. You can also borrow a kayaks and pick up rubbish in the sea while you enjoy the beautiful scenery from the kayak. To hire a kayak is free of charge, the only condition is that you pick up any rubbish you find to help us keep the oceans clean.

Next to VilVite Science Center, 15 minutes walk from the Tourist Information, you will find the park Nygårdsparken. Nygårdsparken is great for the kids to just run around, climb trees or try the jungle gym.
Great tip:
If you use the Bergen Card, you will receive free or discounted entrance to most museums and attractions in Bergen. Bus and city rail are also free! You can buy the Bergen Card online, at the Tourist Information Center in Bergen and at most campsites.
