Taking the train from Oslo to Bergen takes you on one of the world's most beautiful train rides. When the train rolls into Bergen you arrive at Bergen railway station.
Bergen is the last stop on the train between Oslo and Bergen. Bergen Railway Station is a modern and efficient train station centrally located in the middle of Bergen. All trains from Bergen leaves in direction of Oslo. However, some might only go part of the distance to Voss or to Myrdal. The train station only has a handful of platforms so it is quite easy to find your correct train.
The vast majority of hotels in Bergen are within walking distance of the train station, so it is a great starting point when arriving in Bergen. The train station is right next to the bus station and the Bybanen (Bergen Light Rail) stop called Nonneseter. There are good connections by bus, the Bybanen and the Airport shuttle bus to Bergen Airport, and other central locations in Bergen and around. Taxis are available using the exit on the right hand side.
Bergen Railway Station is located in Strømgaten 4, 5015 Bergen, approximately 10 minutes walk to the Fish Market and the Tourist Information and about 12-15 minutes walk to Bryggen. If you stay near Bryggen the best way to get there is by walking or by taxi.

Bergen Railroad has several cafes and kiosks to enjoy while waiting for your train.
There is a luggage storage if you want to leave your suitcase and explore the city. There are three different types of lockers and you can pay by credit cards. The large lockers are big enough for 3 suitcases and there is also lockers for skis.

What happens to the luggage after the time has expired? (maximum 7 days)
Up to 7 days after the time has expired, you can use the code you received on the receipt, but will then have to pay an additional fee. After these 7 days, the box is emptied. If an ID document is found, everything is handed over to the police, otherwise it is stored with us for 3 months. After 3 months it is discarded.
The station also has toilets and comfortable waiting rooms.

The closest hotel to the train station is Grand Hotel Terminus, a charming hotel with an elegant, classic style. It is located just outside the train station. Next to the Grand Hotel Terminus is one of the newest hotels in Bergen called Zander K. A design hotel for the most modern guest with organic food and training facilities. Then across the road and around the corner (less than 5 minute walk) you will find Scandic Ørnen with 368 spacious, bright and modern rooms.
The Bergen Railway Station is Bergen's only train station and is the starting point for the Bergensbanen train to Oslo via Voss, Myrdal (connection to Flåm Railway) as well as several trips to visit the famous fjords. Taking the train is a comfortable way to experience the wonderful nature that Norway has to offer.
