Sledding and skiing at Fløyen
Mount Fløyen is an eldorado for activities for children out in nature, even when it is winter. Take the Fløibanen funicular to the top in just six minutes and have fun at the city's most exciting playground. Explore the troll figures and look for witches in the Troll Forest and build a snowman at the Fløysletten field. Bring charcoal, and the kid’s favourite barbeque snacks and enjoy the barbeque area when you need an energy boost.

When the weather makes it possible to prepare the popular 5 kilometers long slope, skiing on the city mountain is easy. The Fløibanen funicular also has a separate ticket that allows you to sled from the top down to the station Skansemyren and take the funicular up again unlimited all day long. Test your skating skills
After a few days of cold weather in Bergen, the Skansedammen pond often freezes, making skating overlooking the city a great thing to do in Bergen in the winter with the family. You will get there from the city center in just 10 minutes by foot or a short trip with the Fløibanen funicular, getting of at the Promsgate stop. Pack your ice skates and some snacks in the bag and enjoy a few hours on the ice!
