When visiting Bergen you never go home empty-handed. In our city you will find everything from the large established brand stores to small niche stores that you will not find anywhere else in the world. Here is a few tips on small niche shops in Bergen well worth a visit.
Norwegian Rain produces and sells functional outerwear that does not compromise on style. They make waterproof quality clothing, that includes world-leading technology for protection from the weather gods in its own stylish design. The rainwear is designed by the well-known designer / tailor T.Michael.

T.Michael also has his own shop in the city center of Bergen, where you will find his newest collection of suits, shirts, bags, shoes, scarves and cufflinks. The suits and clothes designed by T-Michael are both funky and classic at the same time. His products are known for the craftsmanship behind the products and his eye for details. If you visit Høyer you will find fashion from international and Norwegian brands such as Toteme, Zimmermann, Acne studios, Polo Ralph Lauren, Stone Island, Holzweiler & BRGN and many more.
Are you interested in vintage clothes and shoes? Bergen has several Vintage shops where you can look for treasures. Check out Paulina Vintage Shop and Slit’an.
In Bergen you will of course find a hat shop. Adore is a shop specializing in hats and headwear for both women and men. They have a large selection, including products from the renowned hat manufacturers Stetson and Seeberger.
Bergen also has a specialty store for socks in all colors and shapes. Visit Strømpedamen where you will find all types of socks, tops, bodysuits & wool tops as well as different types of hold-in articles.

Oleana is known for their award-winning design of high-quality knitwear. Oleana takes pride in using organically sound fibers such as merino wool, silk and alpaca, and has their own brand store in Bergen. You can also visit the factory where Oleana produce their knitwear. At the factory they have a factory outlet where you can buy garments from their latest collection or find treasures from previous collections.
Netty is one of Europe's largest lingerie specialty stores. They have a large selection of underwear for daily use, parties, weddings, etc. At Netty you also get help and guidance to find the right model and size for you. The store also has a separate department for women who have had breast surgery, where their nurse assists with the adaptation of prostheses to beautiful underwear.
If you love fish cakes, fish soup or Norwegian fish pudding, you have to visit Søstrene Hagelin. At Søstrene Hagelin, they have been making tasty fish dishes since 1929, and the two sisters who originally started the shop are known far beyond Bergen's borders. They will always be remembered for the delicious homemade fish food and their great recipes.

Konfektgalleriet is Bergen's exclusive chocolate shop, with the vision to bring a little more joy and pleasure into your everyday life - through the taste of real quality chocolate. At Konfektgalleriet you will find quality chocolate from Belgian Daskalides and Norwegian first-class confectionery from Trondheim Sjokolade.
Hallaisen is a popular and friendly greeting in Bergen, and hopefully the beginning of a conversation. But Hallaisen is also an ice cream bar located in one of the city's oldest shopping streets, Skostredet. At Hallaisen!, they make homemade ice cream based on the best western Norwegian ingredients, as well as a selection of sustainable ingredients from around the world.
Hjertholm opened as early as 1930 and was Norway's first shop selling handicrafts. More than 70 local, Norwegian and Scandinavian ceramicists, glassblowers, textile and jewelry designers sell their work in their store. Hjertholm is known for being one of the country's best stores for unique gifts.

The gold and silverware factory Arven offers a large selection of beautiful silver cutlery, interior items and jewelry - all handmade and produced in Bergen. A visit to their store is an experience in itself. Through a 40 meter long glass wall in the store you can watch how goldsmiths and silversmiths at work while you shop. You can also book a guided tour of the Arven factory and learn more about production, innovation and design in one of Bergen's most traditional companies.
Wouldn’t you love if it was Christmas all year? Perhaps not, but Bergen actually has a Christmas shop that is open all year. At Julehuset, the shop is filled with Christmas on all three floors in November and December, while the rest of the year it is Christmas "only" on the third floor. The shop has everything you need for decorations for a traditional Norwegian Christmas celebration. Here you will find gorgeous decorations for your Christmas tree, Christmas candles, Christmas angels, elves, napkins, cribs and lots of other decorative items.

Juhls Silver Gallery is located on the famous Bryggen and sells unique Norwegian jewelry inspired by our fantastic nature, culture and history. The most famous collection is TUNDRA, designed by Regine Juhls. The Tundra collection is jewelry in abstract design, inspired by the great Arctic nature in the north. All the jewelry is made in its entirety at their workshop in Kautokeino, where craftsmanship and professional pride are a strong focus for skilled goldsmiths.

At Bryggen you will also find Audhild Viken. Audhild Viken started producing woven products in 1947. To this day, this is still one of the store's specialties, along with other items such as sweaters from Dale of Norway, fine jackets from Oleana, jewelry from the silversmiths Hasla and Hillestad, trolls from New shape and sheepskin from Granberg Tannery. On the second floor of Audhild Viken, you can explore four different rooms with themes such as the Northern Lights, the Vikings, Christmas and the Trolls. With light and sound, a completely unique atmosphere and shopping experience is created in the old storage rooms at Bryggen.
Rumpetroll is a specialty store for clothes for children between 0 and 10 years. At Rumpetroll you will find everything you need for both everyday life and parties for the children. The products they offer are carefully selected based on quality, aesthetics and comfort.

Ruben's Skattekammer (treasure chest). The name says it all. This store is definitely a treasure chest for both children and adults. 3 floors packed full with costumes and traditional and untraditional toys. The store also has an exciting selection of IQ toys and other gifts that you might not have seen before.
Niche stores are exciting, but sometimes you need a large shopping center to fill your shopping needs. Bergen has a number of shopping centers both in and outside the city center.
