Fjord kayaking in Hardangerfjord is the perfect way to explore Norway’s second largest Fjord. Extending over 179km in length and with waters over 1300m deep, it is the fifth-longest Fjord in the world. It is one of Norway’s most iconic Fjords, situated at the base of majestic mountains.
Essential Details:
The tour starts with a 29km journey by car from Voss, through the incredible mountains to where we will start at the Hardangerfjord.
On this special sea kayaking adventure, we will visit a side arm of the Hardangerfjord called Granvin, to revel in this quaint fjord’s spectacular scenery. This lesser-known fjord is the perfect opportunity to get away from the big boats and crowds of tourists. Enjoy the peace and tranquility, without the sound of boat engines.
The Granvinfjord is also well known for its tiny settlements, excellent fishing spots, and sun-drenched bays for swimming. Its towering peaks, hanging valleys, and beautiful waters are sure to take your breath away.

Itinerary:
-Check-in at our Outdoor Base at 08:30 AM. Departure 09:00 to Hardangerfjord
-Scenic drive to Hardangerfjord
-Arrival in Hardangerfjord, preparation of the equipment and gearing up
-Safety instructions
-Warm-up
-Adventure departure
-Lunch break by the fjord (bring your own food/snacks and water/drink)
-Paddling back
-Loading equipment back into the van. A chance to visit the store nearby and take photos
-Scenic drive back to our Outdoor Base in Voss
Guest requirements:
-5+ years old (the guardian signs waiver for minors)
-Basic swimming skills
-Max 120 kg / 265lbs
-200cm (6'6 feet)
-Good physical health
-Before your trip, please inform us or your guide of any medical conditions like asthma, epilepsy, etc.
