Bergen city walking tours

Join one of the many authorized guides on a guided walk of Bergen. Learn about Bergen's long history as international trading port for cod fish from Norway to the rest of the world.

The area of Bryggen was largely destroyed in a great fire in 1702 and rebuild on the old foundations. Bryggen is a World Heritage Site and you can choose a guided walk particularly of this area. To stroll through Bryggen’s narrow alleyways and overhanging galleries is to step back into the mists of time and a bygone era. Bryggen is very much a living part of the cultural heritage that is still in active use in this historical area of the city and is included of many of the guided tours of Bergen.

During the summer, there are several city walks to choose from, but also during the winter you will find a handful of good alternatives.
