In December, all the Edvard Grieg Choirs gather for their traditional Christmas concert in Johanneskirken. To accommodate the ever-growing audience, this year’s event will, for the first time, feature two concerts on the same day.

These concerts bring together singers of all ages – from the youngest Aspirants performing their very first concert, to the older members of the Edvard Grieg Girls’ Choir and Boys’ Choir, the talented youth in the Edvard Grieg Youth Choir, and the eight professional singers of the Edvard Grieg Vocal Ensemble. This year also marks the debut performance of the newly established Haukeland Boys’ Aspirant Choir.

Each choir presents traditional, beautiful, and joyful Christmas songs, and together they perform powerful joint pieces written especially for the unique combination of voices that make up the Edvard Grieg Choirs.

Welcome to this year’s Christmas concerts on 21 December in Johanneskirken at 16:00 and 18:00!
