Lea Alstad (b. 2000) is a self-taught visual artist from Trondheim, now living in Oslo. She works intuitively with ink, acrylic and a variety of other media, from murals and illustrations to books and prints. Her artistry explores the expression of the body and mind, often through portraits and fragmented figures inspired by the lines and layers of anatomy.

In "Timing is Everything," Alstad shows works that balance between control and chaos. In a life where so much slips out of our hands, timing becomes both random and crucial. With an impulsive and experimental technique, she allows accidents and coincidences to become part of the picture. Yet, in retrospect, it all seems complex. Almost as if it had to be exactly that way. The paintings, both portraits and nature studies, reflect a larger idea: that the unpredictable is not the enemy, but the driving force itself. Perhaps everything happens for a reason.

The exhibition will consist of original paintings and prints. A hallmark of Alstad's paintings is the use of ink, which creates a distinctive and unpredictable expression. The ink moves freely across the canvas, leaving traces reminiscent of lines, paths and random patterns, which reinforces the sense of movement, direction and the unplanned.
