Colonialen's newcomer, JEST, is a coffee shop with "straight in the beak" pizza by day and a wine bar with the most delicious bar food by night.

Jest are delighted to be able to conjure up exciting bottles for the guests in the newly refurbished premises at Vågsallmenningen 6. Jest is the latest addition to the well-established Colonialen-family, which has delivered top class food and wine experiences in Bergen for almost 20 years.

You can find Jest at Vågsallmenningen, in one of the city's busiest and most popular areas. Right across the road from the Fish Market and a short distance from Bryggen, the Fløibanen funicular and other popular tourist attractions. Since the doors opened in March 2024, Jest has become a popular and lively place and the perfect meeting point in the heart of the city. On sunny days there is a great outdoor service where you can enjoy Bergen at its best!

Jest is a cosy, intimate space with high tempo, boogie and delicious wine. The history of the building, with Jeppes as the city's first pizza restaurant in the 1970s, has also made its impact. Sourdough pizza with a twist is an important element here. To accompany a carafe of wine, a glass of beer or other refreshment, the kitchen offers several complimentary bar- and sharing dishes, with intentionally put together "snack-menus" comprised of 5 small dishes, plates and bowls.

It is perhaps important to point out that Jest do not take table reservations. If you have enquiries regarding larger groups (6 people +) or private events please contact Jest by mail.
