The ultimate contrast to the glacier is to experience the Hardangerfjord and enjoy the fjord sides from a kayak.
Daily in summer Folgefonni Breførarlag arrange sea-kayaking trips on the Hardanger fjord. The trips start from the booking center Juklafjord situated only 30 meters from the Hardangerfjord in the middle of the village Jondal.
After an introduction and adjustment of equipment, you are ready for a real fjord experience from the cockpit in sea kayak. The tour start with basic techniques, how to paddle, control the kayak, and what to do if you fail and turn over and become wet. When you feel safe and can control the kayak the guide will start the trip to "Jonaneset" or other destinations, depending on waves, weather, etc.
From the fjord, you will have a magnificent view of the mountains and the fjord landscape.
The age limit is 12 years. There is a maximum of 5 people per guide.
How to get to Jondal from Bergen:
By car:
It takes a little over 2 hours to drive from Bergen to Jondal (including the ferry). From the city center, follow the E39/E16 north out of town, then take Fv7 to Norheimsund and Fv575 to the ferry terminal in Tørrvikbygd. The ferry from Tørrvikbygd to Jondal takes 30 minutes. It docks right in the center of Jondal, where you will also find the booking center for Folgefonni Breførarlag, the meeting point for this tour.
By public transport:
Take bus no. 930 from Bergen bus station, platform O, at 08:55 all the way to Jondal (including the ferry between Tørrvikbygd and Jondal). The ferry arrives in Jondal town center at 11:10, where you will also find the booking center for Folgefonni Breførarlag, the meeting point for the tour. The tour starts as soon as all guests have arrived.
The ferry and bus back to Bergen depart from Jondal at 18:15. The bus arrives at Bergen Bus Station at 20:25.
It is a good idea to double-check the schedule in the "Skyss Reise" app or on Skyss.no before departure. Bus tickets can be purchased in the"Skyss Billett" app or on board. If you have the Bergen Card you can travel for free on the bus. The ferry is free for all passengers.

Cancellations:
The tour can be canceled with a full refund up to 5 days before the tour date unless otherwise agreed. If you cancel later than this but more than 24 hours before the tour, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour, there is no refund. If Folgefonni Breførarlag has to cancel the tour due to weather/conditions, you will receive a 100% refund.
