Your adventure begins with a comfortable minibus drive from Bergen, heading east through dramatic mountain scenery. The first stop is the cozy village of Dale, where you’ll have a short break for coffee, snacks, and restrooms before continuing to the picturesque Tvindefossen Waterfall - a perfect place to stretch your legs and capture photos of this natural beauty.

From there, the journey continues to the fjord village of Gudvangen, where you’ll board a modern, electric boat for a two-hour cruise on the Nærøyfjord. Surrounded by steep mountains, waterfalls, and remote fjord farms, this UNESCO World Heritage fjord is considered one of the most beautiful in the world.

The cruise ends in the charming village of Flåm, located at the innermost part of the Aurlandsfjord. Here, you’ll have time for lunch, sightseeing, or visiting the Flåm Railway Museum before continuing your adventure.

Next, your guide will drive you up the scenic mountain road to the spectacular Stegastein Viewpoint, a glass and steel platform extending 30 meters from the mountainside, 650 meters above the fjord. The panoramic view from here is truly unforgettable - a perfect spot for photos and reflection.

After returning to Flåm, you’ll board the famous Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) - one of the steepest and most breathtaking train journeys in the world. In just one hour, the train climbs from sea level in Flåm to Myrdal Station, 867 meters above the fjord, passing waterfalls, tunnels, and dramatic mountain scenery. At Myrdal, you’ll connect to the Bergen Line train for a comfortable return journey to Bergen.

This full-day experience perfectly combines road, fjord, and rail, offering a seamless way to experience Norway’s most iconic landscapes - all in one unforgettable day.
 
Meeting point:
The tour starts at 8.00 am by minibus, and we will not take responsibility if you are too late and miss out on the tour. We recommend you meet up at 7.45 am latest. Meet-up is outside the Tourist Information located at address: Strandkaien 1. You will see Scandic Hotel Torget just across the street. Look for a black Mercedes Sprinter Minibus.

Variations of the tour may occur due to weather conditions and traffic.

Additional Information:
-Tickets for the cruise and train are included.
-No food included on the tour, but plenty of stops/places to buy food from.
-The cruise leaves at 12.10 from Gudvangen. The train from Flåm goes at 6.25 pm and arrives in Bergen at 9.33 pm. Remember to change trains at Myrdal Station.
-The tour is guided until the Flåmsbana train, where you take the train back to Bergen. You will be given instructions and all the information you need.
-We reserve the right to cancel the tour upon travel date if there are extreme weather conditions making the tour inoperable. You will receive a full refund.

ONLINE BOOKING OF TICKETS:
The tour must be booked no later than 22:30 the day before departure.

This tour is very popular, so it's always best to order well in advance of your trip in order to make sure there are available tickets. 

Cancellation:
If cancelled up to 2 days before date of departure, the full amount will be refunded. Cancellation after this will not be refunded. Cancellation is made by sending an email to contact@fjordrive.com.

Tickets:
Your email confirmation is your ticket for this tour. The tickets for the cruise and train will be provided by the driver.

Children:
For children under 135 cm remember to book a child seat as an extra (no additional cost).
Car cushions for older children are available in the car.

Children under 4 years of age cannot take part in this tour. If a child under this age arrives for the tour, participation will not be possible and no refund will be issued. If unforeseen events occur, such as weather conditions/landslide/natural disasters/technical issues with train/cruise, Fjordrive is not responsible for covering costs for missing flights, hotel costs etc. Fjordrive can change the schedule on the tour if unforeseen events like traffic issues, closed roads etc. occur. The tour may be canceled due to extreme weather conditions, with a full refund provided.
