The Troll Museum in Bergen is the largest museum in Norway dedicated entirely to trolls and fairy tales. Centrally located in Bergen city, the museum aims to bring visitors closer to the magic of Norwegian folk beliefs and the creatures that inhabit them.

The museum combines detailed handmade art, traditional storytelling, and modern digital technologies. Exhibits feature augmented reality, adding movement and sound to the visual art. Immersive technologies, holographic fans, and interactive elements enhance the experience and open the door to the world of fairy tales. Together, these create a unique museum visit that offers a glimpse into Norwegian folklore and shows how the concept of trolls has evolved over time.

The Norse mythology section and Hall of Trolls offer an insightful journey into the world of trolls, starting from the very beginning. Discover what the universe looked like according to the Vikings, explore fairy tales passed down for generations, and see how trolls appear in their natural habitats.

Equally mysterious are the creatures of the Norwegian fjords and the secretive beings known as Huldrefolket. More about their identities, habitats, and importance in folk tradition is shared in the marine exhibit Hidden Beneath the Waves and in the dedicated Huldrefolket hall.

The museum also features board games and creativity zones, as well as a small library with fairy tale and mythology books in several languages for those interested in learning more.
