Colonialen’s latest venture is LITT – the dining space at Litteraturhuset i Bergen, a vibrant meeting place where food, wine, and culture come together.

About

LITT consists of LITTFORAN, a bar with its own menu that seeks to enrich with knowledge about literature, food, and wine, and LITTBAK, a restaurant serving lunch with a clearer à la carte style. Behind the bar, you can enjoy a seasonal à la carte menu inspired by Nordic cuisine, featuring fresh local ingredients and well-balanced, refined flavors, enhanced by a carefully curated wine list. The kitchen also provides catering for in-house events and private functions.

The newest addition to the LITT family is the café in the book lounge, offering breakfast from 09:00, small dishes for lunch from 11:00, and of course freshly brewed coffee and baked goods in a cozy, literature-inspired atmosphere. Here you can settle down with a good book and something delicious to eat from early morning until late in the evening.

LITT is more than just a place to eat – it is a cultural hub. Join a wine tasting that provides deeper insight into the world of wine, or experience live music and poetry evenings that bring the spirit of the Literature House to life.

At LITT we keep the atmosphere informal and relaxed, with a focus on high quality, knowledge, and sharing – right in the heart of Bergen.

Accessibility:

At the entrance on Vestre Skostredet (the “back door”), there is a ramp and a large button on the wall that opens the door for wheelchair users. There is also an elevator to the accessible toilets and to the second floor if you’re attending an event.
